Several new technologies for wood plastic composite materials
Co-extrusion wood plastic composite products
Co-extrusion wood products are currently the second generation of wood composite products. The application of co-extrusion technology has reduced the cost of wood plastic composite products by a step under the condition of unchanged performance, and opened up a new path for cost-saving second-generation wood plastic composite products. There are more and more co-extruded plastic wood composite products on the market, not only the traditional high-end plastic wood composite doors and windows, handrails, and fences using plastic wood co-extrusion, but also low-end floors, fences, exterior wall panels, and templates are also increasingly used plastic wood composite co-extrusion. Wood plastic composite co-extrusion products account for more than 50% of the total wood plastic composite products. It can be said that wood plastic composite co-extrusion has become the mainstream trend of wood plastic composite products. At present, wood plastic composite co-extrusion materials mainly include PVC, PE and acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylonitrile plastic (ASA). Among them, the output of PE-type wood plastic co-extrusion products is relatively large. The base layer of co-extruded plastic wood products does not need to add anti-aging agents, pigments and other materials, and the thickness of the co-extruded surface layer is very thin about 0.5mm, reducing the cost by more than 65%.
Embossed wood plastic composite products
With the improvement of people’s quality of life, single-color plastic wood composite cannot meet the aesthetic needs of customers. People have higher and higher spiritual requirements and are more inclined to things that are close to nature. In order to achieve the beauty, practicality, simulation and plasticizing and other requirements, embossed plastic wood composite products came into being. Embossed wood plastic composite products tend to be more complex and retro. At present, the most widely used technology is deep embossing technology and online embossing technology. Online embossing is commonly known as hot embossing, which means that the embossing process is performed before the temperature of the wood plastic composite profile at the die mouth is not lowered, which largely retains the original pattern of the pattern and increases the visibility and three-dimensionality of the embossed wood plastic composite product. This has enabled the plastic wood composite industry to explore and develop in the field of decoration.
Application of 3D printing technology in plastic wood composite products
Since Charles Hull invented the printer in 1984, 3D printing technology and technology have developed rapidly. 3D printing combines many high-end cutting-edge achievements such as digital simulation, material science and technology. 3D printing generally has applications in the fields of metal materials, inorganic non-metal materials, and polymer materials, but polymer materials are the most widely used. In the past two years, 3D printing has been introduced into the wood plastic composite industry by technicians, solving the problems of singular shape and monotonic color of wood plastic composite products, which greatly improves the brightness and color diversity of wood plastic composite products.
Among the printing consumables, the printing difficulty of such consumables is very great. Because the main component of wood plastic composite materials is wood fiber, wood fiber is easy to be carbonized after high temperature, and the carbonized fiber can easily cause the nozzle of the printer to block. Moreover, the plastic wood composite is fibrous, not pelletized, and the entanglement of the fibers can easily cause plugging. However, the nozzle of the MINGDA 3D printer is an exclusive patented design, the diameter of the nozzle is 0.04mm, which can easily print on consumables such as plastic wood composite. The temperature of the printed plastic wood composite is set between 210-220 degrees. Of course, depending on the temperature setting, the texture of the printed model will also vary.
